The Institute of Plumbing SA has introduced a new IOP(SA)
plumbing contractors form of contract which has been specifically designed
for those plumbers who work in the construction industry, and where no other
contract exists.
For obvious reasons you may not use these contract
documents where JBCC contracts conditions are in force between the employer
and the main building contractor.
Plumbing contractors should never take on construction
plumbing work without having the protection of a proper contract document.
IOP(SA) is very pleased to announce that the IOP(SA) Plumbing Contract
Document is now available from the national office.
IOP(SA) can assure you that this contract document is not
one sided at all, it is in fact the only plumbing contract document we have
seen, that is fair to all parties !!!
The IOP(SA) plumbing contract document sets out the
contract amount, payment conditions, payment default, contract variation
orders, employers default, builder contractors default and plumbing
contractors default, contract period and weather delays, it consists of 12
pages and is simple and easy to read.
Don’t ever agree to work in construction plumbing again
without the cover of an IOP(SA) Plumbing Contract Document to protect you.
